FIC is an ambitious project that will mirror the relentless expansion of English language comedy and events throughout the world and is now ready and yearns for support in all forms sponsorships, technical, logistical, everything... we are open to all suggestions, collaborations and partnerships so if you feel excited by the project and would like to be involved please get in contact to [email protected]
Where it all began... the world's first and still the worlds only multilingual comedy festival presenting shows in 9 languages since 2008.
The first BCN's Funniest FICer amateur comedy competition, Gala shows, workshops, improv, clown, cinema and more... The cosmopolitan nature of the Mediterranean tourist mecca that is Barcelona has inherently created a unique multicultural population and via our long established comedy business in Spain (in 2003 we created the 1st professional English language comedy show!) the move to a festival was a natural one - and multilingual FIC was born!! A lot of trial and error over the years to deliver the multilingual aspect with mixed results but we are still there with the consolidated core of languages of the local Catalan and Spanish with perennial shows in English and Dutch but we have also presented shows in Swedish, German, French, Russian, Italian and in 2015, Finnish.

Each year we have flipped the Barcelona Headliners to Madrid with the ambition to make an international festival in the Spanish capital.
Over the last 7 editions we have hosted Jason Byrne, Adam Hills, Danny Bhoy, Andrew Maxwell, Des Bishop, Tony Law, Sean Hughes, Rich Hall, Marcus Brigstocke amongst others... In April 2014 FIC Madrid hosted the biggest international comedy event ever to take place in Spain when Eddie Izzard! played a series of 6 gigs in the Spanish capital Now has incorporated Madrid's Funniest FICer competition who each year competes against the BCN champion in a unique comedy classico producing a national champion

FIC LISBON came to life in December on our Facebook page which was our fastest growing page in the family ever with 500 likes in the 1st week!!
We fought very hard to make it happen through the 1st 5 months of 2015 and unfortunately despite having an entire settled programme we were frustrated with venue availability and the regrettable decision to start moving the core headline shows to Malaga which represents this year's FIC '15 on tour programme. We still hope to take at least 1 show down there and use the show as an opportunity to plan FIC Lisbon '17 properly
